~~~I was very pleased to find four Eastern Bluebirds first thing in the morning at Mt. Seeing this Peregrine Falcon definitely got me pumped to start the Hawk WatchThis Common Yellowthroat could not have been more cooperative, Morningside Park, 9/29/13.Here’s one more of the Pectoral Sandpiper, Morningside Park, 9/29/13.I have this as a juvenile Forster’s Tern. Morningside Park, 8/17/13.~~We found this beautiful Swainson’s Hawk on the side of the road in Loveland CO, 5/2/13.~This is the bird I wanted to see more than any on this day – Yellow-billed Cuckoo at the Nature Trail, Basha Kill WMA 5/26/13.~~~~~Barred Owl at the Great Swamp NWR in Basking Ridge NJ, 1-4-13.Short-eared Owl just before sunset, 1-7-13.
Matt, this just an amazing site that you have created! I am really proud of you!
Love the Bobolink! How is Montezuma NWR? I have wanted to go there for some time, but since it is so far i have been reluctant to make the trip not knowing much about the place. I figure they probably have about the same stuff that Wallkill NWR has to offer.
Montezuma is a great place, I’ve been there twice and had plenty of birds. I guess it is not much different than Wallkill, but last year I was there for Thanksgiving weekend and had MANY species of ducks and a pair of Sandhill Cranes.
