  1. Nice shot
I almost got that model instead of the 80D.
Was afraid there would be too much learning curve.
    Good luck with it.

  2. Looks like you got your new camera, Went up to the meadowlands yesterday and struck out on the least bittern and sora. A roseate tern was seen off of Great sedge island in Island Beach state park a few days ago. A friend agreed to meet me there at 1 p.m. today with 2 kayaks. I arrived early but when he got to the entrance shortly after noon they had closed the gates due to overcrowding and he could not get in. This would have been a life bird but it will wait for another time. Earlier in the morning I went yo the Waretown stakeout for Miss. kite.=no success. Sometimes theses dry spells occur. leave for Ohio tomorrow.-will be looking for Ky. warbler. Continue the great work.

    1. Yes, got the 7d Mark II. I know what you are saying about dry spells – they definitely happen and it seems like you just have to persevere through them. Maybe Ohio will break it for you, I’m hoping it will. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, although I don’t think it rates as great work. Always good to hear from you Bruce. Matt

  3. Nothing better than a new body. I told my son I got a new body and he told me I got ripped off. Kids can be cruel….even when they are almost 50! Looks like you’ve got the new Canon mastered already. Congrats and enjoy!

    1. Ha ha Dave! Cruel, but funny too, lol. I’m enjoying it for sure, thanks. Matt

  4. Great shot, nice bird, Matt. I just got back from LA where I tried to do amateur birding. The place was teeming with hummingbirds.

    1. Thanks so much Norma. I’ve never been to LA, I’m glad you got to do some birding and enjoyed the hummingbirds. Matt
