Karen is good company and I really enjoy birding with her. We are both at a similar level with our birding and we are both really into it. We decided to walk just the eastern side of the Liberty Loop, out and back. We both agreed &#8211; that section of the trail is\u00a0 where we have each had the most luck.<\/p>\n<p>Well, luck certainly was with us, we had a very productive evening. We had over thirty species in just over an hour and a half and with not much effort. The birds just seemed to be revealing themselves to us. Here&#8217;s our list:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_143\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-143\" style=\"width: 388px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/orangebirding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/MG_8125.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-143\" title=\"_MG_8125\" src=\"https:\/\/orangebirding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/MG_8125.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"388\" height=\"583\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orangebirding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/MG_8125.jpg 646w, https:\/\/orangebirding.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/MG_8125-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 388px) 85vw, 388px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-143\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I really like that you can see the small hook on the end of this Eastern Kingbird&#39;s bill<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Canada Goose<\/li>\n<li>Mute Swan<\/li>\n<li>Wood Duck (heard)<\/li>\n<li>Great Blue Heron<\/li>\n<li>Green Heron<\/li>\n<li>Turkey Vulture<\/li>\n<li>Peregrine Falcon<\/li>\n<li>Killdeer<\/li>\n<li>Spotted Sandpiper<\/li>\n<li>Rock Pigeon<\/li>\n<li>Mourning Dove<\/li>\n<li>Red-bellied Woodpecker (heard)<\/li>\n<li>Northern Flicker (heard)<\/li>\n<li>Eastern Kingbird<\/li>\n<li>Blue Jay<\/li>\n<li>American Crow<\/li>\n<li>Tree Swallow<\/li>\n<li>Barn Swallow<\/li>\n<li>American Robin<\/li>\n<li>Gray Catbird<\/li>\n<li>Brown Thrasher<\/li>\n<li>Yellow Warbler<\/li>\n<li>Song Sparrow<\/li>\n<li>Indigo Bunting<\/li>\n<li>Bobolink<\/li>\n<li>Red-winged Blackbird<\/li>\n<li>Common Grackle<\/li>\n<li>Brown-headed Cowbird<\/li>\n<li>Baltimore Oriole<\/li>\n<li>American Goldfinch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Karen messaged me that the Brown Thrasher, Peregrine, and Bobolink were here favorites, and don&#8217;t forget the Indigo Bunting! I was very excited to see the Bobolink also because it was a life bird for me, but my best bird of the day was the Peregrine Falcon. I will never get tired of seeing that bird!
